Freelance, Palestine Chronicle, We Are Not Numbers
Yousef was studying to be a psychoanalyst, he was a promising writer and a talented photographer. In January 2023, he published an essay titled “Who will pay for the 20 years we lost?” for the “We Are Not Numbers” collective. In this essay, he recounts the destruction of his family’s orchard by an Israeli missile strike in May 2022. Yousef was also a contributing writer for Palestine Chronicle and this is his last article “Kidney Transplant and Rebirth: A Palestinian Love Story”. His desire to explore cities within Palestine surpassed that of well-known destinations like Paris or the Maldives Islands.

Killed in an Israeli missile strike on his family’s home in the northern town of Beit Lahia, located in the Gaza Strip north of Jabalia.
