Al-Jamaheer
Majd was a photographer and journalist and late last year was forced to sell his camera to be able to afford to survive in Gaza which has been besieged by Israel. He continued to photograph on his mobile phone and was hoping to save up to buy a new camera with money from a project he was working on. He was a kind and gentle soul and many of his fellow photographers in the region are testifying to his kindness and spirit in the aftermath of his passing. In our Permission to Narrate event, Majd shared a voice note talking about the situation in Gaza and shared his photographs with the audience. It was his wish that his and other Palestinians’ work was amplified and in the light of that request, we ask you to take a moment to see his work on his Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/Majd.Arandas/
